Revol Rectangular Tray

Product Specifications

Revol has been making professional quality culinary porcelain in France since 1789—also the year of the French Revolution (relevant) and the founding of Georgetown University (Lindsay's alma mater, and completely irrelevant, but interesting.)  Revol is the last remaining porcelain maker in France, and one of the few in the world, to make its own clay, which has a unique composition.  And numerous stages of production continue to be done by hand, safeguarding the beauty of the final product.  Each piece is fired at a high temperature for a non-porous finish that is chip, stain, and scratch resistant.

The black porcelain paste used in the Basalt collection is unique to Revol.  The collection is the result of research into how to combine slate colored culinary grade porcelain paste with a design inspired by the roughness and shapes of natural slate.  Basalt doesn't chip or scratch like natural slate, and it is non-porous, so it doesn't absorb fat or bacteria.  The tray is ideal for serving appetizers, cheeses, or desserts.

Will not chip or scratch.
